Target Practice

With all the hunting seasons here, Camden has been around guns a lot, so we decided that it was best to teach him gun safety NOW! They have gone over it at school and he knows never to point a gun at anyone and to get an adult if he ever finds a gun, but he has never held a real gun or been that close to one. Trooper Gary taught them a cute little saying to help remind them to stay away from guns. Stop, Don't touch, leave the area....get an adult! It is really catchy the way he taught them to say it and he even came up with some movements for them as well. Elliott and a couple of guys were out behind the house doing some target practice and Camden wanted a turn, so, he got one. He was a little nervous (so was I) but he did great! We filled a bottle up with water and let him shoot at that, and believe it or not, he HIT it! Although he did have fun shooting the guns, we did go over gun safety all afternoon.
